To be or not to be an airship? If you ask this question to workers in the oil and gas industry, pipeline layers, builders, power line installers, transport workers, as well as those who work in Siberia. Far East and Far North. the answer will certainly be unequivocal and positive.
Although our magazine has repeatedly addressed this topic (see “TM” No. 5, 7, 42 for 1963; No. 7 for 4964; No. 6 for 1965; No. 8 for 1968; No. 8 for 1974; No. 9 for 1t/2 year; No. 8 for 1975; KZ 2 for 1976; No. I for 1980), we decided to return to it again. Voices are increasingly heard insisting on the need to build airships for the needs of the national economy. These demands were especially strong at the conference on airship construction, which was recently held in Leningrad. In this issue we begin to publish discussion materials about the problems of a fundamentally new type of transport.
